A new alcohol education tool for young people in Leeds
Decide the night is an immersive digital resource that has been developed with young people for young people to educate on the effects and consequences of drinking alcohol.
Taking the format of a game, the tool invites the user to take part in five different drinking scenarios that have been developed with 14-15 year olds across Leeds.
Each scenario is story-based using a different drink and situation as the subject matter. Upon selecting the drink, users are taken on a virtual night out with their peers. A series of questions are presented with choices affecting the experience users have. The aim is to make it to the end of the night without leaving early.
Choosing an answer that leads to a negative consequence gives users a strike. Three strikes means the night ends early for users. There are a number of health and educational facts as well as persona-based endings that make the experience fun, engaging and educational.
